This large but cleaned out hospital has only been empty for a few years, but it’s patient cemetery is a very solemn and unique place.

NRL Farewell, Some Site Updates

Well, it looks like the satellite dish at the abandoned NRL facility is finally being scrapped, as the bowl of the dish is off the base and laying on the ground. I visited the facility back in April of 2006, and once again it was for the last time. I’ve also gotten to some photos of Kings Park Psych – Wisteria and York Hall.

I’ve also made some updates to the website functionality, each location overview page now has a Location Data section, which holds some general dates for each place. The rough age of the place and length of abandonment have been automatically calculated, if applicable.

Also, you might notice a new info icon under each photo; this will display some additional information about the photo (such as date taken, date posted, camera used, etc) as well as a location summary.

I’ve also updated some information and added historical photos to Danvers State Hospital, Renwick Smallpox Hospital, and Byberry.
